What mobilisation reserve does Ukraine have — FT data

As of now, Ukraine's mobilisation reserve is 3.7 million people. At the same time, 900 thousand of them are not registered in any registers.

What is Ukraine's mobilisation reserve?

According to an FT study based on data from the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development, the number of male Ukrainian citizens aged 25 to 60 totals 11.1 million. Among them:

  • 1.2 million have already been mobilised or volunteered to go to the front;
  • 2.9 million live in the occupied territories;
  • 1.3 million have traveled abroad;
  • 600 thousand are exempted;
  • 1.5 million are unfit for military service.

"The remaining 3.7 million are men who can be mobilised. At the same time, 900 thousand of them are not registered in any registers", the article says.

Recently, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine noted that the Army+ app has become an important tool for the digital transformation of the Defense Forces. It is currently used by more than 410 thousand servicemen.

Umerov also said how many Ukrainians have applied for a deferment to the Reserve+. This figure exceeds 100 thousand.

In addition, the Defense Minister announced the establishment of a military ombudsman. He explained what functions he would perform.
