The government does not plan to lower the mobilization age in Ukraine. However, new "motivational" contracts should appear for those who are under 25 years old but want to join the defense of the country.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during a speech in the Ukrainian Parliament on Tuesday, November 19.

Zelenskyy claimed that the Ministry of Defense and the military command should present to the citizens of Ukraine a new system of contracts for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The corresponding contracts will be provided for those who have not reached mobilization age but want to prove themselves in the defense of the country.

"These contracts will have a tangible, very specific motivational component. And there is no need for any speculation — our state is not preparing to lower the mobilization age," the Head of State emphasized.

The President added that, based on new contractual approaches, Ukraine should gradually move to forming an army through contracts, not just mobilization.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented "Ukraine's Resilience Plan", which consists of ten points.

During his speech in the Ukrainian Parliament, the President said that at this stage of the war, it is decided who will put pressure.

In addition, according to Zelenskyy, elections in Ukraine will be held after peace is achieved.
